Hawks Prairie District
The Hawks Prairie District is centered on the intersection of Marvin and Martin Roads. It includes the Gateway Project known as the Lacey Gateway Town Center which is anchored by Cabela's, The World's Foremost Outfitter.
With a mile of frontage on Interstate 5, Lacey Gateway Town Center is part of a strategically located 1,000 acre master planned community, featuring a highly visible, mixed-use commercial downtown flanking the heavily traveled Interstate 5 Highway, which connects Seattle to Portland and points between and beyond. Lacey is a 45 minute drive south from Seattle and a 2 hour drive north from Portland.
When complete, Lacey Gateway Town Center is destined to become Washington's premier retail/mixed use destination. It will feature a new urban "downtown" center in which surrounding residents will be able to access 2 million square feet of destination hybrid lifestyle shopping which includes typical national and local retailers and restaurants, 7,000 new residential units, 1,000,000 square feet of first-class office space, a 25,000 square foot conference center, community library and a 90,000 square foot performing arts center. The City of Lacey has long envisioned this area to become it's city center. Local plans call for retail, hospitality, office, recreational, and civic uses supported by an upscale residential community. The city commits to purchase ten acres of the site for civic uses (www.triwayenterprises.com).
Across the way is Shipwreck Beads, the world's largest selection of beads. Shoppers will delight in the huge array of beads and can grab a bite at the deli. Also off I-5 exit 111 is Wal-Mart, Big Five, a brand new Harley Davidson and Costco.
Restaurants in the area include The Ram Restaurant & Brewery, Panera Bread, Round Table Pizza, Hawks Prairie Restaurant and further down Martin Way is Shipwreck Cafe and Mandango's. King Oscar Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Hawks Prairie.
