Fort Lewis Military Museum

The Fort Lewis Military Museum collects, preserves and interprets material of historical significance to Fort Lewis and the military units which have served here. The museum also strives to foster an appreciation for the role that the United States Army played in the exploration, settlement and defense of the Pacific Northwest.

Lacey Historical Museum is a free city run museum that showcases community history from Oregon Trail days to the present. The building had been a private home, a fire station facility, and Lacey's first City Hall.

Olympic Flight Museum

The Olympic Flight Museum is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and flying of vintage aircraft. The museum was founded with the goal of bringing people together to relive, recollect and learn about aviation history. Our mission is to deliver the sights, sounds, smells and excitement of flight to every museum visitor.

The Olympic Flight Museum, located at the Olympia Regional Airport, displays vintage aircraft and offers a gift shop for browsing.

The Waynick Museum & Capps Art Gallery

Located within historic "Old Main" on the Saint Martin's University campus in downtown Lacey, the Waynick Museum features American Indian objects, fossils and geological specimens. The Capps Art Gallery displays 20th century paintings and sculpture, artwork created by monks, and a collection of paintings and sculptures of St. Joan of Arc.

Washington State Capital Museum & Outreach Center

The State Capital Museum and Outreach Center is located in the historic Lord Mansion, seven blocks south of the capital campus in Olympia. The museum is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history and culture of Washington and features two floors of exhibits.

Exhibits on regional Native American history and on Olympia as Washington's capital bring area history alive. A series of provocative temporary exhibits encourages visitors to examine history through different cultural, social, and political lenses. Gracious lawns and ethno-botanical gardens featuring native Northwest flora surround the museum.

The building also houses outreach programs of the Washington State Historical Society, including the Women's History Consortium, Heritage Resource Center, National History Day, and Traveling Exhibits Service.
