Intercity Transit, named 2009 best mid-sized transit system in the nation, provides daily public transportation services and promotes healthy travel options to people who live, work, and play in Thurston County.
We offer the follow services and programs:
- 19 Local Routes serving Lacey, Olympia, Tumwater, and Yelm
- Express Service to Tacoma with connections to Seattle, SeaTac and other regional destinations
- Customized Trip Planning for your specific destinations
- Travel Training, free one-on-one coaching for new bus riders
- Monthly Pass Programs, just $15-$30 for unlimited travel
- Dash, a free downtown Olympia shuttle
- Vanpool/Carpool services for regional commuters
- Dial-A-Lift (door-to-door) service for people with disabilities
- Village Vans, free transportation service for low-income job seekers
- Community Vans, reservation-based transportation for qualified group travel
- Youth Education Program, teaching youth how to make wise transportation choices
- Commute Trip Reduction Program focused on reducing drive-alone, work-based trips through employer outreach and transit partnerships
- Contracted Pass Programs for state and county employees, and students at Saint Martin’s University, TESC, and SPSCC that allow them to ride free
- Contracted Late-Night Weekend Service with TESC, open to the public
