Bam! Grand Opening / Open House
Hosting a Grand Opening celebration with the Lacey Chamber of Commerce provides members with a terrific opportunity to be introduced to your location of business. The Chamber will help you set up this important event and promote it throughout the Chamber membership and community.
Host Responsibilities
Here is a basic guideline of what the host's responsibilities are, however, we are flexible and can make modifications to fit your business.
- Provide appetizers - light food and beverages for approximately 25-50 people. Depending on your business, this approximate number may need to be modified. We will have contact with your business several times prior to the opening and will provide ou with a realistic count at lest two days before your event. Please note that not all members and guests will RSVP, you should count on roughly 20% over the final count we give you.
- Door prizes are optional, but considered a good idea and a big draw to people (3-4 are ideal with one main giveaway).
- Tours of the host's business, unique activities, or entertainment to create more interest and knowledge of how your business works.
- Please provide a photo of your business along with a logo for use in materials to market your event.
Chamber Assistance
- The Chamber will advertise your Grand Opening on our website, in the Thrive! Blog & E-Newsletter, and in any additional upcoming publications.
- Whenever possible the Chamber will arrange for the Lacey City Mayor or their representatives to attend the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, invite local dignitaries and City Council members.
- Your event will be announced to the community through press releases that will be sent out to local media sources including The Olympian, NewsTribune, Business Examiner, radio stations, etc.
- Chamber members will be invited and asked to RSVP to our office so we can give you a reservation count.
- You will be contacted prior to your Grand Opening to help out in any way we can.
- LCC Ambassadors - the "meeters and greeters" of the Chamber will assist in any way that they are needed. This will free you up to network with your guests.
