Bam! Grand Opening / Open House

Hosting a Grand Opening celebration with the Lacey Chamber of Commerce provides members with a terrific opportunity to be introduced to your location of business. The Chamber will help you set up this important event and promote it throughout the Chamber membership and community.

Host Responsibilities

Here is a basic guideline of what the host's responsibilities are, however, we are flexible and can make modifications to fit your business.

• Provide appetizers - light food and beverages for approximately 25-50 people. Depending on your business, this approximate number may need to be modified. We will have contact with your business several times prior to the opening and will provide ou with a realistic count at lest two days before your event. Please note that not all members and guests will RSVP, you should count on roughly 20% over the final count we give you.
• Door prizes are optional, but considered a good idea and a big draw to people (3-4 are ideal with one main giveaway).
• Tours of the host's business, unique activities, or entertainment to create more interest and knowledge of how your business works.
• Please provide a photo of your business along with a logo for use in materials to market your event.

Chamber Assistance

• The Chamber will advertise your Grand Opening on our website, in the Thrive! Blog & E-Newsletter, and in any additional upcoming publications.
• Whenever possible the Chamber will arrange for the Lacey City Mayor or their representatives to attend the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, invite local dignitaries and City Council members.
• Your event will be announced to the community through press releases that will be sent out to local media sources including The Olympian, NewsTribune, Business Examiner, radio stations, etc.
• Chamber members will be invited and asked to RSVP to our office so we can give you a reservation count.
• You will be contacted prior to your Grand Opening to help out in any way we can.
• LCC Ambassadors - the "meeters and greeters" of the Chamber will assist in any way that they are needed. This will free you up to network with your guests.

5:01Surge! Monthly Business After Hours

Host an after-hours networking event and introduce people to your location and your products at the same time. No charge to the hosting business, but food, refreshments & door prizes are provided by the host. The Lacey Chamber will help host and market the event. Get listed in all of the Chamber publications for the month.

LaceyBoom! Forum Luncheon

Sponsorship of the monthly Lacey Chamber Forum luncheon provides members with a terrific opportunity for advertising the Who, What and Where of their business. Sponsorship includes advertising on the website and in the Thrive! Blog & E-Newsletter, a thank you in the Thrive! exclusive opportunity for marketing materials to be placed on the luncheon tables, one free admission, a display table placed near the entrance of the luncheon room for guests to view additional information about your business and 5 minutes of airtime at the podium to showcase your business.

Monthly forums are held the first Wednesday of every month from 11:30 to 1PM.
Approximate attendance is between 120-150 people.

Goal Cultivator Workshops

These workshops will lay the groundwork for your to become a goal cultivator. You'll be encouraged to commit to a lifetime activity of planting, growing, and harvesting success. There is a one time $10 charge for materials.

Annual Golf Classic Tournament

The Golf Classic Tournament is a fun annual event that provides a golden opportunity for chamber members to get to know one another.

Great golf, great food, lots of raffle prizes, premium OKI course, and awards for best "decked out Hole" - plus Hole-In-One prizes and cash. See the best of the best of the Lacey business community.

This event is usually held the first Friday of June at the Hawks Prairie Woodlands Golf Club. Sponsorships are available. Contact the chamber for more information.

Annual Chamber Auction

Each year our organization coordinates a fundraising auction which helps achieve our budgetary goals, and also allows us to fund the "Ray Kidwiler Scholarship Foundation." In 2008 proceeds exceeded $7000! These funds go towards the college education of our future leaders.

From catering to lodging, physical therapy to beauty care, you'll find great values, and the opporutnity to advertise your own values, at the Annual Chamber Auction.
